U.S. Reps. Send Letter to Government Accountability Office on Lifeline National Verifier
Rep. Bobby L. Rush (D-Ill.) and colleagues urge the GAO to review the FCC's efforts to deploy the Lifeline National Verifier
We are concerned, however, that the FCC is not doing all it can to implement the National Verifier. The FCC has already delayed the implementation of the Verifier, citing issues that were entirely foreseeable and should have been addressed earlier. We are further troubled that the FCC's delays in implementing the Verifier are happening concurrently with the FCC efforts to drastically and arbitrarily scale back the Lifeline Program by cutting off service for over seven million Americans.
