Renew now so you do not lose your FREE TruConnect California LifeLine wireless service! LifeLine is a government assistance program, and LifeLine service is non-transferable. Only eligible consumers may enroll, and the program is limited to one discount per household. All California LifeLine wireless customers must renew their participation on an annual basis or they will lose their free service.
A one-time activation fee of $39 will be charged to all new or transferred accounts. The California LifeLine Fund will pay for no more than two activation fees per year per eligible LifeLine household. If the LifeLine household is not eligible to receive the $39 activation fee from the California Lifeline Fund, TruConnect will use its own funds to credit the activation fee.
In order to renew your participation in the California LifeLine program, follow this process:
The California Lifeline Administration will automatically send you a renewal form in the mail 105 days prior to your anniversary date . The renewal form includes your Personal Identification Number ( PIN ) in a pink envelope. Your PIN is located on the first page of your renewal form . To view a sample form, click here.
You can use your PIN to renew as follows:
A) Phone process: Call the California LifeLine Administrator at 1.877.858.7463 with your LifeLine phone and follow the automated voice prompts to complete your renewal. If you wish to renew through the phone, you must call in from your LifeLine phone. If you are calling from a non-LifeLine phone, you will not be able to complete the renewal process through the phone. However, the California LifeLine Administrator will still be able to assist you in retrieving your PIN, resending the pink envelope, and assisting with any other questions you may have regarding your LifeLine account.
B) Online process : Renew online here. When entering your phone number and PIN provided to you by mail.
You must then follow the prompts to complete the entire process.
C) Mail-In Process: Complete, sign and mail your renewal form with a PIN to: California LifeLine Administrator

If you don't have your PIN because you lost it or did not receive it in the mail, call the California Lifeline Administrator at 1.877.858.7463 and they can provide it to you.
Your deadline to renew is your annual anniversary date from when you first signed up. To check your renewal deadline, call the California Lifeline Administrator at 1.877.858.7463 and they can provide it to you. If you've transferred your California Lifeline service to TruConnect, your annual deadline is based on your original signup date and not your transfer date to TruConnect . You can renew up to 3 months prior to your deadline. Renew early so you do not lose your opportunity to continue your California Lifeline benefits with TruConnect!
You will be notified in a letter in the mail confirming your renewal.
