TruConnect Sponsors Community Event with Special Guest Speaker State Senator Ben Hueso
Find Out About The Lifeline Program to Access Free Wireless Broadband Services
SAN DIEGO, CA – OCTOBER 21, 2020 -- TruConnect, a Los Angeles based telecommunications company and the second largest provider of Lifeline services in California, is proud to sponsor a community event with special guest speaker, State Senator Ben Hueso (D-San Diego). The event will take place this Wednesday October 21st at Community Through Hope in Chula Vista. Senator Hueso will speak with community members about the growing digital divide and educate attendees about a government program called Lifeline.
Several months into the pandemic, millions of Americans are still unable to access the internet. According to USA Facts, 34% of folks without internet reported not having access because they were unable to afford it, while 4% because they did not have a home computer or smart device.
Senator Ben Hueso will educate audiences about a program that addresses these barriers: TruConnect's Lifeline.
Lifeline is a decades-old program put in place by the Reagan Administration, meant to help low income families afford internet services. Right now, there are an estimated 30-40 million Americans who qualify for this assistance program, and have yet to register. Could you be one of them?
Don't miss this special opportunity to learn more about TruConnect's Lifeline program and how to register your family today.
