  • Matthew Johnson

    Matthew Johnson is a Co-Founder, Board Member, and Co-CEO of TruConnect. TruConnect is the 4th largest wireless lifeline company and fastest growing in the United States with over 600,000 customers nationwide. Mr. Johnson, with his brother, built the company through a combination of internal growth and acquisitions including Telscape Communications, Sage Telecom, and TruConnect Mobile among others. In addition, Mr. Johnson is a Managing Partner and Board Member of Drake Star Partners, a global technology investment bank headquartered in New York with offices in eight countries. Mr. Johnson is a member of Young Presidents Organization ("YPO") and a two time finalist for E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year. Mr Johnson also serves as Chairman for UCP Wheels for Humanity, a non-profit supplying wheelchairs to disabled children and young adults globally. Mr. Johnson holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellog School of Management.

  • Nathan Johnson

    Nathan Johnson is an Owner and Chairman of TruConnect, where he oversees the strategic vision and effective governance of the organization. He has co-managed the overall operations and growth of the business with his brother for the last 10 years. Mr. Johnson is also a Founder and Managing Partner of Drake Star Partners, a global M&A Advisory Firm with offices throughout the US and Europe, where he leads efforts on restructuring and bankruptcy advisory. Prior to Drake Star Partners, Mr. Johnson served as Director of Overseas Finance for GM's Treasury Office in NY where he oversaw all M&A, divestitures, and investments in Latin America. Mr. Johnson received his MBA & MA from the Wharton School & Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance and Multinational Management. His focus at the Lauder Institue was a specialized international management program with concentration on fluency in Spanish and International Studies. Mr. Johnson is a twice nominated finalist for E&Y's Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was a finalist in the City of Los Angeles in 2015 and 2016. 

  • Lucy Sung

    Ms. Sung is the General Manager of Global Operations for TruConnect and leads the Legal, Compliance, Customer Care, Sales Operations, Human Resources, and Billing Operations teams. She has over 30 years of experience in the wireless carrier industry, and has 15 years of experience managing the operations and expansion of wireless ETCs. She has held senior management positions in companies that include AT&T, among others. Ms. Sung holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

  • Danielle Perry

    Danielle Perry is the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for leading all technology related aspects of TruConnect, from software development to system integration. Ms. Perry has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with 10 of those years being focused on Lifeline. She has held senior management positions on both operations and technology teams. She has worked closely with state and federal agencies on numerous integration projects. In her previous position she was the Chief Information Officer at Blue Jay Wireless.

  • Aleksandr Gudkov

    Mr. Gudkov is the Chief Technology Officer for TruConnect and leads all Business Intelligence, data warehouse, and data analytics technology related initiatives. Mr. Gudkov has over 18 years of experience in information technology supporting private, state and local governments. He has managed several large-scale integration and migration initiatives for the California Lifeline program, CEL childcare eligibility system, and Arizona APS energy income eligibility program. Mr. Gudkov holds a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from National Research Nuclear University, Moscow Russia.

  • Samuel Braff

    Samuel Braff is the Chief Product Officer for TruConnect, responsible for all online marketing and product development efforts. Mr. Braff has been managing the product development lifecycle for all manner of technology companies in the United States for well over a decade, ranging from enterprise-grade content management systems to popular consumer-focused smartphone applications. He also has extensive experience with data-driven digital advertising and marketing across both search and social platforms. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
